Message from the CEO

Greetings and peace be upon you.

On behalf of my colleagues at Kolej MDIS Malaysia, I am most honored to welcome all of you -- graduands, parents, students, faculty, staff, friends and guests -- to this historic Inaugural Convocation Ceremony.

To all the 244 graduands from the School of Information Technology, School of Language and General Studies, School of Tourism and Hospitality, School of Media and Communications, and the School of Business Management, please accept my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes as you embark into a new chapter of your life journey.

Convocation is a celebration of your success after years of formal learning. It marks the end of one phase and the beginning of another in that long journey. Some of you may continue to further your studies, others may want to embark on a career or take a short break to see the world. Whatever path that you may take in preparation of the future, I wish you every success.

Today is indeed a special day for all of us. It is our first convocation and you are the first group of Kolej MDIS Malaysia graduands. We are gathered today to share and celebrate a sense of pride in achievement. The College is very proud of its graduands and I am certain that you are equally proud to be the first group of MDIS Malaysia Alumni, the pioneers that will help build a community of alumni that will be a prominent component of the College’s future.

Thank you. Keep well and in touch.

Professor Dato’ Syed Ahmad Hussein, PhD (Yale)
